Fill The Bus - Fill The bus – Aug 21-23, 2009. 8:00am-5:00pm Georgetown Wal-Mart. Contact Christy Hall, 512.658.7658 The Georgetown community places a high priority on our educational system. We pride ourselves on having excellent schools, hiring the best teachers and providing a curriculum and extracurricular activities that will meet the needs and challenges of our future leaders. As fortunate as we are, there are still families in our system that are struggling to meet their basic needs and buying school supplies taxes their already strained situation, especially if they have more than one child. As an effort to ease this burden and provide each child with an equal chance at an excellent education, a collaborative project between the Georgetown ISD, Georgetown Area Junior Forum, and the other local businesses called “Fill the Buss’ will promote the need for school supply collections throughout our community.

Nite at the Races - GAJF is gearing up again for our biggest fundraiser, A Nite At the Races 2010. This year it will be held Saturday May 1, 2010. We have also chosen a new venue for the event, the new Georgetown Chamber of Commerce facility. Through the efforts of our dedicated members, distinguished guests and our generous community partners, this event has raised over $40,000 over the past years. These funds have benefited several area charities and organizations, namely the Boys and Girls Club, Stonehaven, Hope Alliance and Ride On Center for Kids (ROCK) among others. We enthusiastically invite you to be a part of making our 2010 event a success.

The R.O.C.K. - provide clients in Williamson and surrounding counties a safe, affordable hippotherapy, therapeutic riding, and related education programs.
